Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about reporting federal road conditions to FERMA.
Report federal roads maintained by FERMA — major highways and inter-state roads. If you're unsure whether a road is federal, submit anyway and FERMA will route or advise accordingly.
Yes. Tick "Submit anonymously" on the report form. You can still optionally provide a phone number or email if you're happy to be contacted for follow-up.

No. Every report is reviewed and helps FERMA prioritise maintenance, but repairs depend on verification, severity, planning and available resources.
Your report is reviewed by the Citizen Reports Desk, the location and evidence are verified, and verified reports are forwarded to the appropriate FERMA field office.

Only if you provide contact details and follow-up is needed. Anonymous reports are still reviewed, but we won't be able to reach you.
